“Joyous Companion Brooch”

The Joyous Companion Brooch uses found materials, including children’s jewellery,  buttons and thread handed down over generations, wedding shoe diamantes, and a milk bottle backing. This first attempt at cross stitch was used as a mindful activity when bedbound but able to sew for short periods. It took 3.5 months to complete.
