GLA:D®
(Good Living with osteoArthritis: Denmark)
Is an education and exercise program developed by researchers in Denmark for people with hip or knee osteoarthritis symptoms.

How does it work?
The Arthritis ACT GLA:D® program entails two educational sessions and 12 supervised exercise classes held over a six week period. Your first step will be to make an appointment with one of our physiotherapists for the assessment in determining whether or not the GLA:D® program is suited to your situation. GLA:D® classes are run in one hour group sessions. For best results, it is recommend that the GLA:D® program be undertaken over a six week period by attending two group sessions per week.
The Arthritis ACT GLA:D® program contributes to ongoing research conducted by La Trobe University for people with hip and knee osteoarthritis. You can undertake this program whether or not you choose to take part in the research element, and the program is the same regardless of your choice.
